mi- + simple past

Past continuous = mi- + simple past

Habitual or ongoing past.

I was going / I used to go

we were eating / used to eat
📝 mi + past
Expresses habitual or ongoing past

Like 'used to' or 'was -ing'.

💬 Examples
هر روز پیاده‌روی می‌کردم.
har ruz piāde-ravi mikardam.
I used to walk every day.
📝 Habitual past
وقتی زنگ زد، غذا می‌خوردم.
vaqti zang zad, qazā mixordam.
When (he) called, I was eating.
📝 Ongoing past (interrupted)
Contrast with the simple past

Simple past = completed; mi- past = ongoing / repeated.
