The nominative is the subject case

The dictionary form; answers 'who/what?'.

A bare noun means a/the.

A handy invariable pointing word.

Це мій дім.
Tse miy dim.
This is my house.
📝 це = this is
Це мої книги.
Tse moyi knyhy.
These are my books.
📝 це is invariable (even with a plural)
