Measure words required between number/demonstrative and noun

A classifier must stand between number and noun

NUMBER + CLASSIFIER + NOUN — omitting the classifier is ungrammatical.

cái is the default general classifier

When unsure of the specific classifier, cái works for most inanimate objects.
