Coordinating: và, nhưng, hoặc, còn

They join clauses without changing word order.

💬 Examples
Tôi thích cà phê và trà.
I like coffee and tea.
📝 và = and
Anh muốn đi, nhưng không có thời gian.
He wants to go, but has no time.
📝 nhưng = but
Cause-result: vì...nên (because...so)

vì introduces cause; nên introduces result.

💬 Examples
Vì trời mưa nên tôi ở nhà.
Because it rained, I stayed home.
📝 vì (cause) + nên (result)
Tôi mệt vì làm việc nhiều.
I am tired because I work a lot.
📝 vì at end of clause = because
mà — contrastive or additive conjunction

mà = but/yet or and (links two related clauses with contrast).

💬 Examples
Anh nói mà không làm.
He talks but does not act.
📝 mà = contrastive but
Cô ấy vừa đẹp mà lại giỏi.
She is both beautiful and talented.
