Purpose, concession and cause-result

Purpose clause: để + VERB

để (in order to) introduces a purpose clause.

Tôi học tiếng Việt để đi Việt Nam.
I study Vietnamese in order to go to Vietnam.
📝 để + purpose verb
Anh ấy làm việc chăm để có tiền.
He works hard in order to have money.
📝 để + purpose clause
Concessive: tuy/mặc dù...nhưng (although...still)

tuy/mặc dù introduce the concessive clause; nhưng introduces the main result.

Tuy mệt nhưng anh ấy vẫn đi làm.
Although tired, he still went to work.
📝 tuy (although) + nhưng (still)
Mặc dù trời mưa, chúng tôi vẫn ra ngoài.
Although it was raining, we still went out.
📝 mặc dù = more formal than tuy
Proportional: càng...càng (the more...the more)

càng + ADJ/V + càng + ADJ/V shows parallel increase.

Càng học càng thấy hay.
The more you study, the more interesting it is.

Getting better and better each day.
