inte, ingen/inget/inga and other negators

inte negates verbs — placed after the verb in main clauses

In main clauses: SUBJECT + VERB + inte.

📝 inte after the verb in main clause
Hon arbetar inte idag.
She is not working today.
📝 inte after conjugated verb
ingen/inget/inga = no / not any (replaces the article)

ingen (common), inget (neuter), inga (plural).

💬 Examples
Jag har ingen bil.
I have no car.
📝 ingen replaces en before common noun
Det finns inget bröd / inga äpplen.
There is no bread / no apples.
📝 inget (ett-word) / inga (plural)
aldrig, ingenting, inte heller for extended negation

aldrig = never; ingenting = nothing; inte heller = not either.

💬 Examples
Jag har aldrig ätit surströmming.
I have never eaten fermented herring.
📝 aldrig = never
Ingenting hjälper.
Nothing helps.
📝 ingenting = nothing (subject)
