Perfect = har + supine

The supine is a special form distinct from the past participle.

Perfect is the most common past in speech

Swedish speakers prefer the perfect over the simple past in conversation.

Pluperfect: hade + supine for past before another past

hade + supine = had done (before a past reference point).

Jag hade ätit när han kom.
