Aspect particles
她吃了饭。
She ate the rice (completed).
Tā chī le fàn.
Perfective aspect marker 了 (le)
我去过中国。
I have been to China.
Wǒ qùguò Zhōngguó.
Experience aspect marker 过 (guò)
他坐着。
He is sitting (resultant state).
Tā zuò zhe.
Continuous state aspect marker 着 (zhe)
我做好了。
I finished doing it.
Wǒ zuò hǎo le.
Result complement 好 (hǎo) = done well
她吃完了。
She finished eating.
Tā chī wán le.
Result complement 完 (wán) = finished
我吃得完 / 吃不完
I can / can't finish eating
Wǒ chī de wán / chī bu wán
Potential complement 得/不 + result
她比我高。
She is taller than me.
Tā bǐ wǒ gāo.
Comparison: 比 (bǐ) = than
他是最高的。
He is the tallest.
Tā shì zuì gāo de.
Superlative: 最 (zuì) = most
他把书放在桌子上。
He put the book on the table.
Tā bǎ shū fàng zài zhuōzi shàng.
把 (bǎ) disposal construction
书被他拿走了。
The book was taken away by him.
Shū bèi tā ná zǒu le.
