No sooner had I arrived than it started raining — sequence with inversion
Rhetorical questions
Who do you think you are? / What's the point? — not real questions
Indirect / embedded questions
I wonder what he wants / Can you tell me where she went? — no inversion
whether vs if in embedded questions
I don't know whether she'll come (two outcomes) / I don't know if she's coming
Negative questions: Isn't it? / Don't you?
Isn't it beautiful? / Don't you think it's late? — expects a "yes" answer
Reported questions: asked where / if
She asked me where I lived / He wanted to know if I had eaten
Double negatives — non-standard
"I don't know nothing" is non-standard — use "I don't know anything"
none of / neither of / not any of
None of the students passed / Neither of them knew / Not any of it worked
