Simple past with was/were and -ed endings, irregular past forms, and future with will and going to
Past perfect: had + past participle
I had eaten before she arrived / She had never seen snow before that day
Past perfect: establishing sequence
After he had finished, he went home — action before another past action
Past perfect continuous: had been + -ing
She had been waiting for an hour when he arrived
Future perfect: will have + past participle
By 6 PM, I will have finished / She will have left by the time you arrive
Future perfect continuous
By December, I will have been working here for a year
Conditional Type 1: real condition
If it rains, I will stay home / If she calls, I'll answer
Conditional Type 2: unreal present
If I had more time, I would study more / If I were you, I would go
Conditional Type 3: unreal past
If I had studied, I would have passed / If she had known, she'd have come
wish + past simple — present wish
I wish I had more time / I wish she were here / I wish I knew the answer
wish + past perfect — past regret
I wish I hadn't said that / I wish she had told me sooner
