Passive by internal vowels

The passive is formed by changing the verb's internal vowels, not by an auxiliary.

💬 Examples
كُتِبَ
kutiba
it was written
📝 Passive of كَتَبَ
فُتِحَ
futiḥa
it was opened
📝 Vowel change u–i
The agent is dropped

Classical passive omits the doer entirely; the object becomes the grammatical subject (نائب الفاعل).

💬 Examples
كُتِبَ الدَّرسُ
kutiba ad-darsu
The lesson was written
📝 الدرس is now nominative subject
سُرِقَتِ السَّيّارةُ
suriqati as-sayyaaratu
The car was stolen

Present passive

The present passive of Form I follows يُفعَل.
