الشرط

إنْ for possible conditions

إنْ ('if') introduces a real/possible condition; both verbs take the jussive.

💬 Examples
إنْ تَجتَهِدْ تَنجَحْ
in tajtahid tanjaḥ
If you work hard, you succeed

إنْ تَسأَلْ تَتَعَلَّمْ
in tas'al tata'allam
If you ask, you learn

لو for hypotheticals

لو ('if [contrary to fact]') introduces an unreal condition, usually with past verbs; the result clause takes لـ.

💬 Examples
لو دَرَستَ لَنَجَحتَ
law darasta la-najaḥta
Had you studied, you would have succeeded
📝 Counterfactual
لو كُنتُ غَنِيّاً لَسافَرتُ
law kuntu ghaniyyan la-saafartu
If I were rich, I would travel

Conditional nouns

Words like مَنْ (whoever), ما (whatever), متى (whenever) also act as conditional triggers.

💬 Examples
مَنْ يَدرُسْ يَنجَحْ
man yadrus yanjaḥ
Whoever studies succeeds

متى تَأتِ آتِ
mataa ta'ti aati
Whenever you come, I come
