Greek passive conjugation

Greek has its own passive conjugation

Active: γράφω → Passive present: γράφομαι.

aorist passive -θηκ-/-τηκ- γράφτηκε
perfect passive έχω + participle έχει γραφτεί
agent από + accusative από τον Νίκο
💬 Examples
Το γράμμα γράφεται.
to GRAH-ma GRAH-fe-te
The letter is being written.
📝 γράφεται = passive 3rd sg.
Η πόρτα ανοίγεται.
ee POR-ta a-NEE-ye-te
The door is being opened.
📝 passive present
Aorist passive: -θηκ- or -τηκ-

The aorist passive inserts -θηκ- or -τηκ- before the ending.

💬 Examples
Το γράμμα γράφτηκε.
to GRAH-ma GRAHF-tee-ke
The letter was written.
📝 γράφω → γράφτηκε
Η πόρτα ανοίχθηκε.
ee POR-ta a-NEEKH-thee-ke
The door was opened.
📝 passive aorist -θηκε
The agent is introduced by από + accusative

By X = από + accusative.

💬 Examples
Το βιβλίο γράφτηκε από τον Νίκο.
The book was written by Nikos.
📝 από + accusative = agent
Διαβάζεται από όλους.
thyav-AH-ze-te a-PO OH-lus
It is read by everyone.
